Flora And Fauna

Bihar has three National Parks, 18 wildlife sanctuaries, one Biosphere Reserve and two Project Tiger sites. The area covered by forest in Bihar is around 15.3% of the total area. Major wildlife includes tigers, nilgai, wild boar, sambar, cheetal, and kakar. The fauna includes sheesham, khair, bent, mangroves, and scrubs.
