Location
Madhya Pradesh as the name suggests, lies in the middle (Madhya) of the country sharing its border with six neighboring states.
In the north, Madhya Pradesh is bounded by the two neighboring states namely the state of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
In the east, Madhya Pradesh is bounded by the states of Chattisgarh and Jharkhand.
In the west, Madhya Pradesh is bounded by a part of Rajasthan, a part of Maharashtra and Gujarat in between.
In the south, Madhya Pradesh is bounded by the states of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
